During the morning we will visit a winery to learn about wine making process and Nobile wine production rules.
At the end of the tour you'll enjoy some great Tuscan wines as Rosso di Montepulciano, Nobile di Montepulciano, Supertuscan and Grappa, as well as a selection of fantastic local olive oils.
Afterwards, we’ll venture into Montepulciano village for a stroll through the city centre and to enjoy a pleasent lunch in a selected restaurant.
On the way to Pienza we will stop in the beautiful San Biagio church for pictures and Renaissance architecture sightseeing.
Pienza, the town conceived by Pope Pius II built on top of the medieval castle of Corsignano, has been designated as part of the world-wide heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
It’s famous even for “pecorino”, a cheese made from
sheep’s milk.
You can try it when is young and in a soft, practically spreadable state, as well as when it’s “stagionato”, or aged.
