Our official guide will take you through the narrow streets of the historical centre and make you discover the treasures of the city.
Walking across the city ( you can choose between the main street with the medieval Palazzos of the mighty merchants or the hidden corners inhabited by the craftsmen), you will learn about the Church of San Domenico with the relics of Saint Catherine of Siena ,the spectacular Duomo ,with its precious marble floor, the Piccolomini Library
and the famous Ambon by Nicola Pisano (1268),and Piazza del Campo,the square world famous for the horse race and for its torre del Mangia, the second tallest tower in Italy completed in
1348.

Day 2
10.00AM Full day excursion "Montalcino and the Brunello wine tour"
To gladden your transfer from the hotel to Montalcino we will pass through the beautiful Crete Senesi area to discover spectacular views over the valley while the guide will informs you about the history of this ancient hilltop village.
Our Brunello tour starts from the very southern part of Montalcino district, where some of the best and renowned wineries are located and from where, during sunny and clear days, you can even see the blue sea line in the distance.
Expert guides will show you the whole wine making process and will introduce you in some of the strict Brunello productions rules.
During the tasting you will learn how to recognize the difference in flavor and structure between the every day Rosso di Montalcino and the older Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.
Afterward we will reach a peaceful restaurant to enjoy a gourmet lunch.
Every day at 12.45 PM and at 02.45PM is possible to stop in the old and famous Sant'Antimo Abbey to listen to
beautiful Gregorian Chants surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.
The last hour is dedicated to Montalcino town sightseeing.
